LTL Partnerships

I’ve been reflecting on one of the most powerful successes we have had over the past year: Priority1’s partnerships.

It’s easy to get one-sided on any partnership since each party can be passionate about their position and lose sight of the bigger picture. But there is something magical that happens when partnerships take a collaborative approach to reach a common goal.

From a pricing perspective, the magic happens when we are creating solutions for our customers while filling capacity needs with our carrier partnerships. Having said that, it would have been impossible without some “out of the box” creativity we had with several of our carrier partners this past year in creating a win-win for all parties.

And let’s not forget the folks on the frontline, our agent partners and direct sales, their relationships with the customer are the most important of all.  With our consultative approach to forming a relationship with our customers that not only produces a healthy working relationship but also represents a return for the customer through efficiencies in their shipping network and freight spends. This is one of the reasons that we have been able to garner industry leading customer retention rates.

At the end of the day, if our customers feel that they are in partnership with us, and we feel that we have the same with them, then all of the complexities of the partnership have succeeded.
